The Downfall :

Sometimes out of nowhere,
Comes an opportunity like a silver lining,
Behind the grey clouds.
The beauty of the various colors,
Blended in just one dish,
I captured.
And the hearts of a few fellow food lovers,
I nurtured.

Yet the journey wasn't easy,
For to climb the mountain,
Isn't breezy.

You stumble, You stop,
your feet tired of pushing yourself ahead,
Yet you keep walking to reach the top,
Only to fall right, To the bottom,
Yet you keep trying to be friends with people,
Only to be left alone.

In this rat race of the world,
As the universe conspires to not let you shine again.
And the masses still called it an easy job,
'oh he gets free food' – what a lucky snob!

Unknown to the various struggles,
I had to bear,
The fear of not being appreciated,
A bigger nightmare.
Oh, how people forgot,
That food comes with wealth,
But nothing to buy you a good health!

Then came the dilemma,
Of looking after yourself,
Or to continue with your dreams.
Then came the taunts,
Of being an aspiring doctor,
And advocating an unhealthy lifestyle.

Then came everyone's villain - time,
Handling my profession,
Or my love for food.
It became a tough task,
Yet it couldn't surpass,
My happiness' mask.

The uprising :

Even after so many criticisms I faced, I am continuing my job of providing people with a bunch of food content because I believe "Food is the only ingredient in my life that binds me with people."

As a doctor, I don't promote junk food or unhealthy habits. I have always supported healthy food habits, and everything in limits can not harm us.
The responses of people on my post and stories make me feel encouraged. Their love for food keeps me going.

I have always been good at convincing people and making friends. This habit of mine brought me so far, and today I have a family of 25k+ people.

I feel so good when someone pings me with a message: "Hey Ashish, I need some suggestions for restaurants/ hotels/cafe." or anything like that. This feels me connected! My followers are my "Keep Going" Factor. Their support and love are the things I will be grateful forever.
